Trevor Cardinal
Trevor swam for Cal Poly from 1999-2003, specializing in butterfly and serving as Men's Co-Captain for the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 seasons. He was also the Men's Teams Block P representative, serving as a Unity Committee Chair for 2 years and President for 1 year, and represented Cal Poly for 3 years on the Big West Conference Student Athlete Advisory Committee. After graduating with a BS in Kinesiology, focusing on Exercise Physiology, Trevor earned his PhD in Physiological Sciences at the University of Arizona, and has been a professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Cal Poly since 2007.

Scott Swoboda
Scott attended Cal Poly from 1989 to 1994 where he majored in and earned a degree in Biochemistry. He swam for the Cal Poly Mustangs from 1989 to 1993 where he was a multiple time national finalist and All American over his four years competing for the Division II Mustangs. He competed in the sprint and middle distance freestyles, butterfly, and was an important part of the freestyle relays that set multiple school records at the time. He also served as co-team captain his junior and senior years and was an important part of advocating to save the swim team in the 1991 Athletics Referendum. Scott went on to pursue a career in dentistry and graduated from dental school in 1998. He is married and has two children. A boy and a girl who are both college age and pursuing their owns careers.

Jennifer Demers
Jen was a mustang sprint freestyler from 2000-2004, and enjoyed one final year on the pool deck assistant coaching in 2005. After receiving her BS in Kinesiology/Pre-Physical Therapy, while minoring in Spanish, she attended Chapman University where she earned a doctorate in Physical Therapy. Jen has worked with athletes of all ages, for many years, and is now watching her three children participate in sports (although none have taken to the water). For those that are raising water babies, she is hopeful that another generation of student athletes will someday compete in the pool as Cal Poly Mustangs!

Daniel Gibbons
Dan swam for Cal Poly from 2003-2005, specializing in distance freestyle and IM. After graduating with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Dan earned an MBA through Villanova University, and has been an engineer in the SLO area since 2007. He lives in SLO with his wife and two daughters.
